Position Summary

The Social Media Strategy Leader plays a crucial role in crafting and executing Busey's social media initiatives. This position is essential for enhancing our corporate image, increasing brand recognition, and fostering meaningful interactions with audiences. Collaborating with the Marketing department, this individual ensures our storytelling is consistent, communications are timely, and our reputation is proactively managed, all while embodying our commitment to service excellence.

Duties & Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee Busey's comprehensive social media strategy across various platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X / Twitter, YouTube, and emerging channels.
• Manage daily publishing schedules, content calendars, community engagement, and interactions across all official channels.
• Generate captivating, brand-consistent content—visuals, videos, and written materials—that boosts awareness, affinity, and audience growth.
• Track real-time conversations, trends, and issues, responding to audiences and escalating concerns when necessary.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Communications, HR, and Community Relations to showcase corporate initiatives, marketing campaigns, and employee engagement programs.
• Oversee paid social campaigns to ensure strong ROI while aligning with broader marketing strategies.
• Establish and monitor social media KPIs, using analytics for performance measurement, content optimization, and leadership reporting.
• Uphold brand, compliance, and regulatory standards in all social communications.
• Educate and guide internal stakeholders on social media best practices regularly.
• Assist in managing corporate reputation by monitoring, reporting, and addressing issues proactively.
• Lead special projects and initiatives as assigned.
• Manage social media activities after hours, including monitoring engagement and addressing urgent issues on call as needed.

The salary for this position is determined by factors such as job responsibilities, required qualifications, relevant experience, and market trends. The role may be eligible for bonuses based on individual and company performance.

(Base Pay Range : $61,000 - $82,000 / year)
