The Electric Boat Security Organization is currently accepting applications for armed Security Officers for our Plant Protection Department. As a member of our Security Organization, you will be responsible for the protection of employees, the product, facility, and technology that are integral to the defense of our nation. The Security Organization performs a critical role in supporting the business.

An Electric Boat Security Officer is required to perform many varied tasks, including the enforcing of regulations and directives, as they pertain to personnel, visitors, and facilities. This includes maintaining access control into and throughout our facilities. Officers may be required to patrol or respond to calls for service on the facility by foot or vehicle, and have the necessary physical ability to perform such duties. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Respond to and assess security alarms or emergency situations
• Maintain access control of our internal access points
• Conduct security checks of our off-site facilities
• Preserve order and enforce rules, regulations, and directives
• Maintain professionalism, while ensuring the highest quality security services in the protection of personnel, property, and information

Must have the ability for these specific duties and essential functions :

Hourly rates from $22.99 to $33.96
