Pathologists Assistant Full Time

A well-established pathology lab in Water Valley, MS is seeking an experienced Pathologists Assistant to join their team. This full-time, permanent role is ideal for a self-motivated professional, as you will be working independently to assist pathologists with a range of diagnostic procedures. Experience is preferred due to the solo nature of the position.

Key Responsibilities :

Independently assist with the preparation and examination of surgical pathology specimens and autopsies

Perform gross examinations of surgical specimens and prepare tissue for further processing

Prepare detailed reports and assist pathologists with case review

Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory guidelines

Maintain accurate records and documentation for all procedures and specimens

Qualifications :

Master s degree in Pathologists Assistance

ASCP certification or eligibility preferred

Previous experience in a pathology lab is strongly preferred due to the independent nature of the role

Ability to work autonomously while maintaining a high level of accuracy

Strong organizational and communication skills
