Job Description\n
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring charge and PACU experience, a compact or MD RN license, and ACLS / BLS / PALS certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in the PACU and Pre-Op departments of a hospital settingRecover mostly orthopedic cases with some general surgeries, caring for a primarily adult population with some adolescents and rare pediatric patients (not younger than 6)Float between Pre-Op and PACU as neededDay shifts, 3x12 hours from 6 : 00 to 18 : 30Uses Cerner EMR; prior Cerner experience preferredCharge responsibilities requiredExpected to provide care in both Phase I PACU and Phase II Recovery areasTeam covers a wide variety of post-op diagnoses including orthopedic, general, and vascular surgeriesFirst-time travelers are accepted for this unitMust be willing to float between Pre-Op and PACU as necessaryReturn staff must have at least 1 year separation before returning as a travelerNavy scrubs are required and are not providedPre-employment online modules must be completed prior to start and may continue into orientationUp to 7 days RTO allowed per 13-week contract (not in the first two weeks), must be requested up frontLocal candidates accepted at a lower rate if residing within 60 miles of the facility\n \n Requirements\n
