About The Position

Job Title : Cath Lab Technologist

Profession : Cath Lab Tech

Specialty : Cardiac Cath Lab

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 10 Hour Days

Hours per Shift : 40

Experience : Minimum of 2 years in procedure area

License : RT or equivalent or RCIS required

Certifications : BLS, ACLS

Must-Have :

ICU background required

Cath lab experience required

Comfortable with monitoring sedation and medication titration

Experience with endovascular procedures with cardiothoracic surgeons required

Experience performing cases in a Hybrid OR setting

Description :

This position is for a Cath Lab Technologist working in a cardiac cath lab.

The Cath Lab consists of a new hybrid cath lab / OR room expected to open soon.

The technologist will be responsible for 1-2 cases per day.

Patient types will include adults with common diagnoses requiring various procedures.

Procedures may include open and closed methods such as TAVR, TEVAR, and others.

The ideal candidate will have experience in either Cath Lab or interventional radiology with a focus on endovascular cases.

The technologist will not be involved in recovering or prepping patients.

Support within the department will include a charge nurse available in the cath lab.

Technology and equipment used include EMR systems and advanced imaging devices.

Flexibility is needed for weekend rotations and on-call duties.

The schedule will likely include on-call coverage every other or every third night.

Holiday work may be required on a rotating basis.
