Property Accountant

We are seeking a Property Accountant to manage the financial operations of our real estate portfolio. This role ensures accurate reporting, compliance, and support for property management teams.

Responsibilities of the Property Accountant :

Maintain general ledger, process A / P and A / R, and reconcile accounts.

Prepare monthly financial statements and variance reports for assigned properties.

Manage tenant billing, rent collections, and CAM (common area maintenance) reconciliations.

Assist with budgets, forecasts, and year-end audit schedules.

Partner with property managers to track expenses and resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications of the Property Accountant :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

1-3 years of accounting experience (property / real estate accounting preferred).

Knowledge of GAAP and property accounting practices.

Proficiency in Excel and property management / accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI).

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
