JOB SUMMARY

This position resides on the Award Maintenance team. It is an integral team for the management of research awards facilitating in activities such as budgets and related changes, transactional approval, allowability inquiries, cost transfers or required creation of journal entries This team works closely with the research departments, setup team, closeout team, and pre-award team to ensure knowledge and scope of work to properly aid with financial decisions which would affect the award. Financial business acumen and ability to run analytics are imperative in reviewing for anomalies and exceptions to normal processes. Financial system is PeopleSoft, related reports and queries are both within financial system and those created in Power BI which allow for further analytics and insight to assist in business decisions. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Required

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.

4 years of progressively responsible experience in finance and / or accounting with experience in planning, forecasting, and financial analysis.
