Purpose

The Manager of Academic Policy is responsible for developing and implementing academic policies and processes for the OnRamps program to ensure compliance with educational standards and guidelines.

Responsibilities

Leads the development and implementation of OnRamps academic policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and Texas Education Code.

Maintains knowledge of university, state, and federal policy related to dual enrollment and distance education. Interprets and makes recommendations to ensure adherence to relevant policies.

Develops, manages, and enhances systems for administering academic processes related to OnRamps dual enrollment, such as FERPA compliance, student accommodations, and academic integrity.

Leads the development of essential policy documents, collaborating across teams to ensure accuracy and timely delivery. Assists in the development of training materials and facilitate training sessions for staff to support policy understanding and compliance.

Supports and engages in designated special projects as assigned that support the mission and strategic direction of OnRamps as an organization.

Required Qualifications

Master's degree in education, higher education, policy, or closely related field.

Seven or more years of experience with program administration in K12 or higher education environments.

Knowledge of university, state, and federal policy related to dual enrollment and distance education.

Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively communicate complex information to a variety of audiences

Detail-oriented with strong analytical and collaborative skills

Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and within a team

Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and prioritize appropriately

Ability to effectively communicate complex information to a variety of audiences

Experience developing and integrating continuous improvement processes using a data-driven approach

Strong problem-solving skills

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Doctoral degree in education, higher education, or closely related field.

Experience using a customer support ticketing system.

Experience using Smartsheet or other Project Management system.

Ten or more years of experience with program administration in K12 or higher education environments.

Salary Range

$80,000 + depending on qualifications

Working Conditions

May require evening and weekend work during intense cycles of work.

May work around standard office conditions

Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation

Employment Eligibility :

Regular staff who have been employed in their current position for the last six continuous months are eligible for openings being recruited for through University-Wide or Open Recruiting, to include both promotional opportunities and lateral transfers. Retirement Plan Eligibility :

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
