Job Summary and Qualifications
The Cardiac Cath Lab Technician plays a critical role in assisting during cardiac procedures, demonstrating expertise in technical aspects of the Cath Lab. This includes collaborating with the medical team, ensuring proper setup of equipment, and accurate monitoring of patient data.
Minimum Education and Experience :
High School graduate or GED.Must have one of the following qualifications :One year of full-time Invasive Cardiovascular Technology experience.Associate Degree or equivalent (62 semester hours) in relevant fields.Graduate of an accredited Invasive Cardiovascular Technology program.Completion of a minimum one-year training program in Invasive Cardiovascular Technology with at least 800 clinical hours.Preferred Qualifications :
Two years of full-time experience in Invasive Cardiovascular Technology.Baccalaureate degree in a relevant field with six months of experience in the area.Required Certifications :
ARRT or one of the following within 18 months of starting :RCIS (Registered Cardiac Invasive Specialist)RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist)Certified Surgical TechRegistered Respiratory TherapistEMT-B or EMT-PEssential Job Functions :
