Alabama-based General Contractor seeking a Superintendent. $25M in new starts booked for the next 6 months.

This client has been in business for over 20 years, however they have remained a smaller General Contractor on purpose, maintaining a low overhead and high margin approach to projects. That being said, they have recently implemented a strategic growth plan allowing for additional project intake, and requiring the addition of new Superintendents and Project Managers. With $40M in yearly revenue currently, and a goal of hitting $100M annually by 2030, they are bidding new work and project sizes and plan to scale the business to new heights. They are well-loved by their repeat clients, and focus on pre-engineered metal structures, CMU buildings, and some wood-frame work including remodels.

Job Description

Traveling Superintendent Duties :

• Develop the Project Vision and Create the Project Schedule
• Supervise entire construction staff, ensuring project deadlines are met
• Ability to predict and overcome project challenges
• Maintain a strong relationship with Project Managers
• Lead weekly meetings to ensure the team is working together successfully and delivering quality work
• Maintain OSHA requirements
• Mentor less experienced construction professionals
• Track project documentation, tasks, issues, etc.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractor
• Travel required
