Position Summary :
The Program Director is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and implementation of the HELP grant program. This position oversees program planning, execution, compliance, reporting, and evaluation to ensure successful achievement of grant objectives and adherence to all state and federal regulations. The Program Director serves as the primary liaison between the organization, the Department of Health, community partners and educators, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities :
Program Leadership & Management
- Lead the strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation of all program activities to meet grant deliverables
- Develop detailed work plans, budgets, and performance metrics in alignment with grant requirements
- Supervise program staff and contractors, providing leadership, coaching, and performance management
- Ensure compliance with all Department of Health regulations, reporting standards, and funding guidelines
Grant Administration & Compliance :
Prepare and submit required grant reports, data, and documentation in accordance with established timelinesMonitor financial and programmatic activities to ensure fiscal accountability and effective resource utilizationCollaborate with the finance department to manage budgets, track expenditures, and ensure allowable cost useMaintain accurate and auditable records for all program operations and outcomesPartnership Development & Stakeholder Engagement :
Serve as the primary contact with Department of Health officials, community organizations, education facilities, and other stakeholdersBuild and sustain partnerships to support program goalsRepresent the program in meetings, conferences, and community forumsProgram Evaluation & Quality Improvement :
Collect, analyze, and interpret program data to assess progress toward goalsUtilize evidence-based practices to guide program decisions and continuous improvement effortsPrepare data-driven reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholdersTeam & Capacity Building :
Recruit, train, and mentor program staff to ensure high performance and professional growthFoster a collaborative, mission-driven culture focused on equity, inclusion, and innovationQualifications :
Education & Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in health services field or an equivalent of an associates degree with relevant experiencePrevious experience managing public health or community-based programs preferredProven track record in program management, budgeting, compliance, and staff supervisionExperience working with the Department of Health or other government grant programs strongly preferredSkills & Competencies :
Strong understanding of grant compliance requirementsExcellent leadership, organizational, and project management skillsExceptional written and verbal communication abilitiesProficient in data analysis, performance measurement, and reportingDemonstrated ability to build and sustain partnerships across sectorsProficiency with Microsoft Office / Google Suite and grant management softwareThe listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
