Logistics Analyst – 2026-03

Headquartered in Huntsville, AL, PROJECTXYZ supports customers across many locations and functional areas including Logistics, Engineering, Information Technology, and Alternative Energy.

Purpose of Position

Analyze product delivery or supply chain processes to identify or recommend changes.

Duties and Responsibilities (Essential)

Maintain databases of logistics information.

Interpret data on logistics elements, such as availability, maintainability, reliability, supply chain management, strategic sourcing or distribution, supplier management, or transportation.

Provide ongoing analyses in areas such as transportation costs, parts procurement, back orders, or delivery processes.

Prepare reports on logistics performance measures.

Confer with logistics management teams to determine ways to optimize service levels, maintain supply chain efficiency, or minimize cost.

Remotely monitor the flow of vehicles or inventory, using Web‑based logistics information systems to track vehicles or containers.

Track product flow from origin to final delivery.

Recommend improvements to existing or planned logistics processes.

Enter logistics‑related data into databases.

Develop or maintain models for logistics uses, such as cost estimating or demand forecasting.

Qualifications

Must possess DoD Secret Clearance or higher.

Must pass drug and alcohol test.

Three to five years of related experience.

Experience with Open and Closed Document Control Register (DCR) in the GCSS‑Army system.

Experience in DoD Acquisition Logistics.

High school diploma; bachelor’s degree in a related field is highly desired.

Physical Factors

May be required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for short distance.

Work environment is predominantly office.

Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.

Must be able to operate a computer for extended periods of time.

Must be able to operate a phone both making and receiving calls and taking or conveying information.

Must communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
