About The Position

Must-Have :

Previous charge experience preferred

Experience with a patient ratio of 6 : 1

Proficient in charting using a specified system

Description :

The Registered Nurse will provide care for postpartum mothers and their newborns.

Responsibilities include administration of medications and monitoring patient conditions.

The nurse will assist in breastfeeding education and support.

The role involves performing assessments on both mothers and infants.

Nursing duties include discharge teaching to parents and managing postpartum complications.

Staffing will involve working with a multidisciplinary team for comprehensive patient care.

Experience with specific newborn conditions and therapies will be beneficial.

The RN will work a night shift with a patient ratio of 6.

Flexibility in scheduling and weekend coverage will be required.

Collaboration with various support services will be part of the role.

Special procedures and equipment usage will include neonatal care protocols.

The RN must maintain a high standard of patient care and safety.

Level II nursery experience is an asset.
