School Counselor - Garland, TX

A K-12 school in Arlington, TX, is seeking a dedicated part-time School Counselor for the spring semester starting in January. This contract position begins with approximately two days per week and offers the potential to transition to full-time hours. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing guidance and counseling services within a school setting and a commitment to supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students in grades K-12
• Assist students with academic planning, college and career readiness, and personal/social development
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote a positive school environment
• Implement counseling programs that address student needs and school goals
• Maintain accurate records and comply with confidentiality laws and school policies

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience as a school counselor, preferably in K-12 schools
• Bilingual candidates are strongly preferred, enhancing communication with diverse student populations
