Job Title : Virtual Sign Language Interpreter

Location : New Mexico (Remote)

School Year : 2023 / 2024

Job Type : Full-Time, 1099 Contract

Responsibilities : We are seeking a skilled Virtual Sign Language Interpreter to join our team for the 2023 / 2024 school year. This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will work remotely. In addition to providing interpretation services, the candidate should be open to assisting with parent education workshops and group services.

Qualifications :

4.0 EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) required.
RID (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf) certification.
Virtual interpreting experience is a must.
Will consider candidates with a pending NM license.
Candidate must be open to assisting with parent education workshops and group services.
Must be able to provide liability insurance.

Responsibilities :

Sign Language Interpretation : Provide clear and accurate sign language interpretation during virtual sessions.

Parent Education : Assist with parent education workshops and group services.

Collaboration : Work closely with educators, parents, and support staff to facilitate effective communication.

Adaptability : Navigate various subject matters and adapt to different communication styles.

Virtual Experience : Demonstrate proficiency in using technology for virtual interpreting services.
