Job description

An experienced counsel-level litigator is sought to join a premier automotive product liability and warranty litigation team. This position offers the opportunity to manage complex, high-value cases across state and federal courts, representing major manufacturers, insurers, and government entities. The ideal candidate is a skilled writer, strategic thinker, and confident advocate who can independently handle all stages of litigation, from discovery through trial.

Senior Counsel Responsibilities :

  • Manage all phases of complex litigation, from responsive pleadings through trial preparation.
  • Take and defend depositions, argue motions, and attend hearings and mediations.
  • Draft motions, pleadings, briefs, discovery requests, and other key litigation documents.
  • Conduct sophisticated legal research and prepare memoranda and case analyses.
  • Review, assess, and organize document productions.
  • Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for clients.
  • Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure timely, efficient case handling.

Senior Counsel Requirements :

  • J.D. from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
  • Active member of the California Bar.
  • Significant litigation experience, preferably in automotive product liability, aviation, or consumer warranty matters.
  • Familiarity with California Lemon Law, including the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act and Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.
  • Proven experience in both State and Federal courts.
  • Exceptional writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters independently and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
