Here is what you will need :
Education : Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program. For exceptions and training outside the US, educational requirements will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and require HR approval.Certificates : Active certification with ARDMS (SPI only is not eligible for hire) or ARRT(S). ARRT-BS is also acceptable if performing breast sonography only. Current compliance with CME requirements. Exceptions require HR approval.Computer Skills : Knowledge of database software and RIS / PACS software.Physical demands : Needs to be able to stand for long periods of time.A Day in the Life of a Breast Sonographer
Provide services and support for the following areas :Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis WayProduces high-quality ultrasound images and obtain appropriate measurements for each examDocuments all applicable patient and procedure data consistently and correctlyExplains procedures adequately to patients to maximize patient comfort and cooperationAppropriate monitoring during all phases of the procedure with special care taken to ensure patient emotional and physical well-beingAssist and / or chaperones radiologist when they are performing ultrasound examsAssists radiologists during ultrasound biopsy procedures using appropriate sterile technique and universal precautionsCommunicates patient information in a professional and courteous manner to patients and to referring physicians' offices as required.Maintains the ultrasound equipment for cleanliness and ensures proper equipment maintenance and equipment safetyMaintains a good working relationship with Radiologists and other Center staff membersOther duties as assignedWhy Solis Mammography?
