Senior Labor Relations Business Partner

As a senior Labor Relations Business Partner, you will play a critical role in advising and supporting retail leaders across a designated U.S. region. Your focus will be on helping leaders successfully navigate labor relations, implement collective bargaining agreements, and drive process improvements. Acting as a change leader, you will collaborate across business units to ensure alignment and compliance while fostering strong labor partnerships. This position requires the candidate to be based in Seatle or the LA Metro area.
As a senior Labor Relations Business Partner, you will :
- Provide expert guidance on labor relations for operational projects and programs, ensuring compliance with internal and external processes.
- Conduct market assessments to identify labor-related risks and deliver actionable recommendations that remove barriers and influence strategic decisions.
- Develop and implement labor relations strategies and insights to support business objectives.
- Serve as an approachable resource for all levels of the organization, promoting a safe, authentic, and collaborative environment.
- Advise leaders and partners using labor relations expertise, tools, and resources to strengthen decision-making and compliance.
- Collaborate with retail leaders and support teams to build capability through training and resources that enable effective labor relations practices.
We'd love to hear from people with :
3-5 years of experience in Labor Relations, Human Resources, or equivalent.Strong working knowledge of all aspects of labor and employment laws including, but not limited to NLRA, Title VII, EEO, ADA, and FMLA; and associated employment laws.Ability to effectively navigate ambiguity and issues that do not always have a process or system in place.Professionalism, diplomacy, and tact, adjusting communication style to meet the needs of the audience.Successful record of creating, improving, and executing programs at scale.Ability to analyze complex problems and come to direct solutions through independent decision-making.Experience in public speaking across a large population.Proficiency with databases and search engines, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.Must be a self-starter, self-motivated.The successful candidate must be capable of significant domestic travel, sometimes with short notice, 50% to 75% of the time.As a Starbucks partner, you (and your family) will have access to medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, and other voluntary insurance benefits. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge / skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.We believe we do our best work when we're together, which is why we're onsite four (4) days a week.
