Facilities Supervisor

As a Facilities Supervisor, you will oversee a small team of 2-3 Groundskeepers and be responsible for managing and maintaining building systems such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. You will ensure the facility meets all health and safety standards, oversee both routine and preventative maintenance, and manage repairs and renovations. Additionally, you will develop long-term strategies for facility maintenance and improvements.

Responsibilities :

• Supervise facility staff, including maintenance personnel, custodial staff, and security personnel.
• Oversee security, cleaning, and groundskeeping operations.
• Manage routine and preventative maintenance for building systems.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and emergency preparedness.
• Develop strategies for facility upgrades and improvements.
• Cut grass and control weeds on the grounds of the Illinois International Port.
• Shovel sidewalks for snow removal.
• Perform simple oil changes on golf carts, lawn mowers, and gator carts.
• Fix minor maintenance issues such as broken handles and simple paint jobs.
• Organize maintenance shop and garage.
