Job Title : Travel Registered Nurse – Med / Surg / Telemetry (Night Shift)

Location : Albemarle, NC 28001 (Stanly County)

Healthcare Setting : 35-bed Medical / Surgical Unit at a community hospital

Contract Start Date : August 25, 2025

Contract End Date : November 22, 2025

Assignment Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00pm – 7 : 00am), 36 hours / week

Guaranteed Hours : 36 per week

Weekend Rotation : Every other weekend

Scrub Color : Navy

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1570–$1680

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state (required for NC nursing jobs)

At least 18 months of recent Med / Surg or Telemetry RN experience

BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)

NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS)

Proficient in post-op care, orthopedic nursing, TPN / PPN, stroke care, chest tube management, PIV starts, trach care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, NGT placement, drain / tube management, PCA pumps, wound care, and medication gtt management (cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, IV fluids)

EPIC EMR experience preferred

Ability to float to Med / Tele, ICU, PCU, and ED within the region

Strong teamwork and adaptability skills

RN Responsibilities – Med / Surg / Tele Travel Nurse Jobs

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with stroke, CHF, COPD, respiratory illnesses, diabetes, post-surgical needs, and behavioral health conditions

Maintain a patient ratio of 1 : 5

Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, and deliver patient education

Administer medications, manage IVs, and monitor cardiac rhythms

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams including CNAs, charge nurses, phlebotomists, respiratory therapists, and hospitalists

Float to other units and facilities within the region as needed, upholding high standards of patient care

Participate in orientation and ongoing training to ensure compliance with hospital protocols

Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
