What we are looking for :

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant General Manager, Food & Beverage to oversee all front-of-house operations across Nine Orchard’s restaurants, bars, and event spaces. This leader will work closely with the General Manager and department heads to deliver exceptional guest experiences, drive operational excellence, and uphold MML’s standards of hospitality. The ideal candidate has a strong background in multi-outlet operations, team leadership, financial management, and a hands-on approach to service and guest engagement.

What you’ll do :

Leadership & Team Development :

  • Lead, coach, and develop front-of-house managers and teams across all F&B outlets.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, growth, and excellence aligned with MML’s values.
  • Support recruitment, training, and retention of top talent.
  • Guest Experience :

  • Champion guest engagement and ensure every outlet delivers a memorable experience.
  • Proactively address and resolve guest feedback.
  • Maintain service consistency and uphold MML standards across restaurants, lounges, bars, and events.
  • Operations & Financial Management :

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Partner with the culinary and beverage teams to ensure smooth coordination and service flow.
  • Manage labor scheduling, cost controls, and budget adherence.
  • Support the GM in analyzing performance metrics, financial reports, and guest feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaboration & Execution :

  • Work closely with the General Manager on strategic planning and execution of initiatives.
  • Coordinate with events and banquets teams to deliver seamless private dining and large-scale experiences.
  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures across outlets.
  • Requirements :

  • 5+ years of progressive management experience in high-volume restaurants, hotels, or luxury hospitality.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-outlet food and beverage operations.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, labor costs, and operational efficiency.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain composed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently use hands / fingers to handle or operate objects, tools, or controls.
  • Occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Specific vision abilities required : close, distance, color, peripheral, and focus adjustment.
  • Noise level is typically moderate.
