Job description

Responsibilities

  • Don appropriate OR attire and PPE, set up sterile field, and organize surgical instruments and supplies.
  • Perform surgical scrub, support gowning / gloving, complete pre-op counts, and help with patient draping and time-out protocols
  • Anticipate surgeon’s needs, pass instruments, manage medications and irrigation, and maintain sterile technique throughout the procedure.
  • Prepare surgical specimens and apply sterile dressings or immobilization devices post-procedure
  • Assist with patient transfer, clean and sterilize instruments, and prepare the room for the next case
  • Participate in case debriefings and support ongoing efforts to enhance surgical outcomes and safety

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is mandatory
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Must hold a valid Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is required
  • Preferred background in outpatient pain management or surgical center settings
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, sterile techniques, and surgical procedures
  • Skilled in using EMR / PACS systems and basic office technology for clinical documentation and workflow efficiency

    • Salary : $23 / hr.
