Outbound Supervisor
The Outbound Supervisor is responsible for monitoring and maintaining Pick / Pack standards and getting orders out in a timely manner, consolidating customer orders and preparing them for shipping by specific carrier, and ensuring that E-Commerce order meet company standards. The Outbound Supervisor will have oversight of the E-Commerce, Packing, Picking, and Shipping Departments.
Key Responsibilities Include :
- Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
- Train and manage associates to achieve completion of the work with maximum productivity, while assisting in the development of productivity and accuracy standards
- Track and ensure that customers' orders are processed and fulfilled in a timely manner and processed products for shipping are delegated to the correct courier
- Develop efficiencies throughout the operations process
- Log materials to maintain and organize adequate supplies
- Stacking boxes on pallets to be loaded onto trucks and ensure pallets are stretch wrapped correctly
- Generate labels for boxes to be shipped
- Oversee incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy and condition of shipments
- Determine shipping priorities and methods required to meet shipping schedules
- Arrange transportation that optimizes service and cost
- Inspecting loading operations to ensure compliance with specifications
- Determining work procedures, preparing work schedules and expediting workflow
- Investigate and solve customer problems and issues
- Ensuring that all employees are in compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations and other company-related policies and procedures
- As Supervisor participates in the selection process of new employees, advises and directs the teams; assists with performance appraisals; maintains assignment completion schedules; disciplinary problems are referred to a higher level. Performs similar and higher level tasks.
Supervision :
This position is frequently managed by the DC General Manager or Assistant DC Manager. This position supervises the Picking Lead and Packing & Shipping Lead.
