About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Director for our underwriting division. This role is pivotal in overseeing a high-performing underwriting team, fostering innovation, and implementing best practices while nurturing and strengthening client relationships to fuel business growth. We are looking for a results-oriented individual with a proven background in insurance sales leadership, a passion for talent development, and a commitment to achieving impactful results.

The Director will inspire and guide the team, enhance sales strategies, and collaborate closely with producers on both new business and renewals. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, at least 5 years in a direct management role leading sales teams, coupled with a minimum of 5 years of extensive experience in commercial multi-line underwriting or production within the Excess & Surplus (E&S) market, which is a mandatory requirement.

We are looking for a professional who excels at relationship building, possesses outstanding sales, marketing, and organizational capabilities, and shows meticulous attention to detail. An insurance license is essential, preferably along with CPCU, CIC, or equivalent certifications. Candidates should be prepared to travel 10-15% of the time.
