Overview

Rick Hendrick Chevrolet (Duluth) Location : 3277 Satellite Blvd, Duluth, Georgia 30096

Summary : Sells new or used vehicles at a profit to the dealership, while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Meets dealership sales goals.
  • Greets customer and determines make, type, and quality of vehicle desired.
  • Explains features and demonstrates operation of vehicle in showroom or on demonstration drive.
  • Suggests optional equipment for customer to purchase.
  • Computes and quotes sales price, including tax, trade-in allowance, and discount.
  • Completes paperwork accompanying vehicle sales, including but not limited to, preparing sales slip or sales contract.
  • Arranges for delivery and registration of vehicle.
  • Researches availability of models and optional equipment.
  • Engages in business development.
  • Addresses customer concerns.
  • Maintains CSI at or above Company standards.
  • Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area.
  • Participates in required training.
  • Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system.
  • Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrates the Company's Core Values.
  • Complies with Company policies and procedures.
  • Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Desired Education : GED, High School Diploma (Required), Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree, Master Degree, Doctorate Degree
  • Field of Study / Work Experience : Automotive (preferred), Accounting, Business, Human Resources, Information Technology
  • Desired Work Experience : up to 3 years
  • Education / Experience : Prior sales and / or customer service experience desired.
  • Certificates and Licenses : Valid Driver's License (required); Automobile Salesperson License (optional)
  • Computer Skills : Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products; intermediate ability to learn web applications for customer management.

  • Communication Skills : Ability to understand and follow instructions; ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
  • Attendance Requirements : Regular and predictable attendance; shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical Demands : Regularly able to talk or hear; stand, walk, and sit as required.
  • Environmental Demands : Duties performed indoors and outdoors, including customer test drives; may involve exposure to various work environments.
  • Verbal and Writing Ability : Ability to read and comprehend instructions and present information clearly to customers and employees.
  • Math Ability : Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
  • Reasoning Ability : Ability to apply common sense and handle standardized situations.
