Key Job Details – Med / Surg RN Travel Assignment Location : Bowling Green, Kentucky 42101 Unit : Med / Surg 3D Ortho / Neuro Floor Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Job Start Date : December 8, 2025 End Date : March 9, 2026 Duration : 13-week contract Shift : Nights, 3x12-hour or 4x12-hour shifts (19 : 00 - 07 : 00) Hours per Week : 36-48 (guaranteed hours preferred at 48) Estimated Weekly Salary : $1890-$1940 Patient Ratio : 1 : 6 Flu Vaccine : Required (no exemptions) COVID-19 Vaccine : Not required Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg RN experience with Ortho & Neuro focus Active Kentucky or compact RN license (NLC compliant) BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required Experience with Meditech EMR preferred Ability to obtain flu vaccine (no exemptions) Willingness to work holiday weeks (limited holiday RTO) First-time travel nurses accepted with strong Ortho / Neuro background Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a 24-bed Ortho / Neuro Med / Surg unit Manage post-operative care for total joint replacements, fractures, spinal surgeries, amputations, and bariatric procedures Monitor and care for patients with TIA, CVA, and other neurological conditions Administer medications, manage IVs, perform wound care, and drain management Operate specialized equipment including bariatric lifts, Bucks traction, CPM, and chest tube management systems Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (PT, RT, pharmacy, radiology, social services) Participate in unit rotation and on-call duties as needed Maintain accurate documentation and participate in rapid response / code teams Discover the charm of Bowling Green, Kentucky while gaining valuable experience in travel nursing.
