Shift and Schedule : Monday through Friday, 2 : 00PM to 8 : 00PM
Position Overview
The Road Supervisor works under the general supervision of the Operations Manager. The Road Supervisor's primary mission is to provide field support by monitoring the flow of vehicles and by ensuring that all drivers attend to their on demand trips to which they have been assigned. The Road Supervisor is also responsible for assisting drivers with customer complaint issues, accidents and / or injuries, vehicle breakdowns, ADA responses, or any other vehicle movement issues to ensure that the company fulfills its contracted duties. Additionally responsible for providing written reports as required by management and / or the contract provider (Accident or Incident Reports, Vehicle Inspection Reports, etc.) and other written documentation related to the daily performance of the operation.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Monitor daily driver activities to ensure that all Company policies (safe driving and customer courtesy) are followed.
- Act as the intermediary between Driver and Passenger, and investigates and responds to passenger complaints.
- Provide requested and / or pertinent information to passengers without ever displaying any negative or hostile attitude.
- Will assist with on demand trips per dispatchers request whenever needed.
- Must be in radio contact with Dispatch at all times to obtain and / or to report all route and schedule information that may be impacted.
- Complete written reports as required on vehicular deficiencies, accidents, incidents, and other issues as may be required from time to time.
- Know and follow the safety and health rules and safe working practices applicable to the job.
- Initiate corrective actions (early or late departures) of vehicle schedules as necessary to ensure effective transportation opportunities for all passengers.
- Monitor the 2-ways radios to ensure that all Drivers use proper radio procedures and etiquette.
- Notify the Operations Manager of any safety and health rule violations that you may find or observe.
- Notify the Operations Manager immediately of all operational issues that impact the service performance.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Abilities & Skills
Read, write and speak English to the extent necessary in order to perform essential responsibilities.Must poses good communication skills and be able to interact with passengers and other parties with clarity and courtesy.Must be computer literate and have experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.Must maintain a clean driving record.Must be able to work various days and hours as required.Education / Experience / Prerequisites :
Must be at least 21 years of age.Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in customer service and transportation service.Must have an acceptable driving record that does not reflect any chargeable accidents and any reckless driving or DUI convictions that would deem them a "high risk" employee.H-6 Driving Record must not show more than 1 point in the last 12 months or 2 points in the last 36 months regardless of the license class.Must be qualified to work in the United States.Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience and exposure to safety practices in commercial passenger bus transportation services.Experience with fleet management, maintenance, dispatch software and systems is highly desirable.Hallcon is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
