Description :
Need for Registered Respiratory Therapist in a respiratory therapy unit.
Unit information includes a total of 317 beds and a staff of 27.
The traveler works the night shift from 18 : 30 to 06 : 30.
The typical staffing includes 3 respiratory therapists on the night shift.
There are no set patient ratios.
Equipment utilized includes ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, and EMR EPIC.
On-call requirements do not apply.
Weekend requirements consist of 4 weekend shifts during a 4-week schedule.
Typical procedures performed include ventilator and non-invasive ventilator patient monitoring.
Breathing treatments and arterial blood gas collection are standard tasks.
The ideal candidate is someone who works well with others, is teachable, and hardworking.
Floating areas may include ICU, PCU, ED, medical floors, and possibly NICU.
Dress code requires wearing pewter scrubs.
Shifts typically are three twelve-hour shifts per week with weekend and on-call responsibilities.
