Essential Job Functions :
- This role assists with all aspects of the tax function for a growing publicly traded organization that is slowly growing internationally.
- ssist with coordination and review of federal and state income tax compliance, including collecting and providing data for 3rd party tax preparers.
- ssist with quarter-end and annual tax provision for audit firm review, including percentage depletion calculation and prep of tax account roll forwards.
- Prepare various transaction tax returns for monthly, quarterly, and annual filings.
- Coordinate with and support other personnel throughout all businesses to respond to inquiries and requests for information.
- Research, interpret, and follow state, local, and federal tax laws and regulations.
- ssist with maintaining and leading tax-related internal controls, including assisting with updating internal controls as needed.
- ssist with the preparation of responses to tax authorities and provide support with handling tax audits.
- Maintain fixed assets in fixed asset software, including preparation of tax depreciation.
- Maintain tax calendar.
- Maintain Tax Reform technical knowledge as it pertains to our structure by leading current developments and changes to tax laws.
- ssist with due diligence for potential acquisitions, when appropriate.
- Special projects as assigned.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills :
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.Must know debits and credits.ctive CPA Texas license.Master's in Taxation preferred.6+ years of tax experience preferably in a combination of Public and industry (if they have 4-5 years but awesome experience, we could re-evaluate the title, don't shy away from sending information).Experience completing corporate and / or partnership tax returns.Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.JDE a plus.Work independently and in a team.
