Overview
The Larimer County Information Technology Department is seeking a Junior Developer to join a collaborative team for a limited-term, two-year position supporting a high-visibility, countywide development project.
This role contributes to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of software applications that support County operations. Working alongside experienced developers, the Junior Developer assists with writing and testing code, troubleshooting issues, and implementing new features across enterprise-level systems. The position offers meaningful exposure to modern development practices while supporting a project that impacts multiple County departments.
Designed for someone early in their software development career, this opportunity emphasizes mentorship, teamwork, and continuous learning. The role provides hands-on experience in a supportive environment while building practical skills through real-world application development.
Although the position is project-based and scheduled to conclude after 2 years, it offers a strong foundation for professional growth and experience, contributing to a large-scale public-sector development initiative.

This is a limited-term position expected to last two (2) years. Individuals hired into limited-term roles are eligible for County benefits; however, the position is time-limited and continuation is dependent on available funding and business needs.
This role operates in a hybrid work environment, with on-site work required Tuesday through Thursday, and additional on-site days as needed.
