Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician Job Details

Location : Henderson, NV 89052 (Las Vegas metropolitan area)

Facility : Community hospital with 8-bed pediatric emergency department (expandable to 12 beds)

Annual Patient Volume : 13,000+ pediatric emergency visits

Position Type : Locum tenens (travel / contract pediatric emergency medicine job)

Shifts : 24-hour shifts; approximately 36 hours per week

Start Date : November 17, 2025

Assignment Length : 13 weeks, with potential for contract extension

Pediatric Subspecialty Support : Available onsite

Hourly Pay Rate : $400 / hour

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $8,400 - $9,000 / week

Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician Qualifications

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine (ABEM / AOBEM)

Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in a community pediatric emergency department

Recent clinical activity within the past 12 months required

Eligible for Nevada medical license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)

Completion of prescreen questionnaire and CV submission (MM / YYYY format with all gaps explained)

Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care in the pediatric emergency department

Collaborate with pediatric subspecialists, nurses, and hospital staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of acute pediatric emergencies in a high-volume, fast-paced setting

Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to pediatric patients and their families
