Salary : $275k-300k

Position Overview : We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rheumatologist to join our esteemed healthcare team in the Houma, LA area. As a Rheumatologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and managing patients with rheumatic diseases, providing comprehensive care in an outpatient setting. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative team of healthcare professionals within a stable and reputable hospital system.

Key Responsibilities :

• Evaluate and diagnose patients with a variety of rheumatic conditions, including but not limited to rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, osteoarthritis, gout, and fibromyalgia.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based guidelines and best practices in rheumatology, incorporating pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide ongoing management and monitoring of chronic rheumatic diseases, including medication adjustments, disease activity assessments, and coordination of care with primary care physicians and other specialists as needed.
• Perform joint injections, aspirations, and other office-based procedures relevant to rheumatology practice, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physical therapists, and infusion clinic staff, to provide comprehensive and coordinated care for patients with complex rheumatic conditions.
• Participate in the management and oversight of the infusion clinic, working alongside another Rheumatologist to ensure safe and efficient delivery of biologic and infusion therapies.
• Educate patients and their families about their rheumatic conditions, treatment options, lifestyle modifications, and self-management strategies to enhance their quality of life and promote optimal health outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters, treatment plans, and clinical outcomes in electronic health records, in compliance with regulatory requirements and institutional policies.
