Job Title : Medical Director - Pediatric Hospitalist

This facility offers an exceptional opportunity for a Board Certified Pediatrician to step into the role of Medical Director, providing critical newborn care, emergency consultations, and managing pediatric admissions in a semi-rural community just minutes away from the beautiful Monterey Bay.

Job Responsibilities :

• Serve as Medical Director for the pediatric hospitalist practice.
• Provide coverage for high-risk deliveries.
• Conduct emergency room consultations for pediatric patients.
• Manage low acuity pediatric admissions.
• Deliver well newborn care at the hospital.
• Collaborate with the Level-III NICU at Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose for newborns requiring intensive care.
• Work a full-time schedule consisting of twelve 24-hour shifts per month with on-call responsibilities from home.
• Support a hospital with approximately 500 deliveries annually.
• Engage in a collaborative environment.
