HiFyve is hiring a 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician in the manufacturing industry in Reading, PA!

Pay :

  • Tier II : $31.90 / hour + $0.50 shift differential
  • Tier III : $35.09 / hour + $0.50 shift differential
  • (Tier placement determined by written and hands-on testing; food-grade welding experience may increase pay)

Shift : 3rd Shift – 11 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM, Sunday–Thursday (on-call rotation approximately 1 in every 6 weekends)

Location : Reading, PA

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide immediate troubleshooting for downtime issues across the facility
  • Perform electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and controls troubleshooting and repair
  • Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance using CMMS documentation
  • Maintain and repair plant equipment, piping systems, valves, compressors, and pumps
  • Support equipment installation and preventive maintenance program implementation
  • Train and mentor junior maintenance staff and apprentices
  • Interpret work orders, manuals, schematics, blueprints, and technical procedures
  • Communicate effectively across departments during repairs and interventions
  • Apply RCA, 5S, and other CI tools to identify process improvement opportunities
  • Follow GMP, safety, food quality, and sanitation standards at all times
  • Work a schedule that includes on-call availability and weekend coverage

    • Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 4+ years of maintenance experience in a process manufacturing environment
  • Boiler safety, ammonia safety, and NFPA-70E certifications required
  • 2-year technical degree in mechanical and / or electrical field preferred

    • Tier Skill Requirements

    Tier II :

  • Mechanical and basic electrical skills
  • Pneumatics
  • Piping and valves
  • Wiring and replacing motors

    • Tier III :

  • All Tier II skills, plus :
  • PLC troubleshooting
  • Hydraulics
  • Power transmissions
  • Heating, cooling, and condensers

    • Union Information

  • Must join the Teamsters Union after 90 days
  • $250 initiation fee if not previously a member
  • Monthly dues equal to 2.5x your regular pay rate
