Villa at Traverse Point is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant in-Training (CNAT) to join their team! A Certified Nursing Assistant In-Training (CNAIT) is an employee in training to become a CNA. Training is free to the employee and the employee may be in this role while earning their CNA license / certification until they move into a CNA role.
Certified Nursing Assistant in-Training (CNAT) Duties and Responsibilities :
- Assist nurse aides with designated resident care specific areas of eating, drinking, and personal hygiene.
- Receive and carry out instructions concerning the specific feedings, hydration and / or personal hygiene care needs of the residents whom he / she will be assigned to assist
- Assists with the provision of care and services related to activities of daily living and / or as directed by the staff nurse.
- Assists in developing a written plan of care for each customer that identifies the problems / needs of the customer.
- Makes rounds to assure residents are safe and comfortable.
- May help make occupied and unoccupied beds, changes bed linens, and straightens rooms, closet, and drawers.
- Obtains blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, heights, and weights as needed.
- Does complete check of skin condition when dressing, undressing, turning / repositioning, etc.
- All other duties, as assigned.
Certified Nursing Assistant In-Training (CNAT) Qualifications and Skills :
Successful enrollment in a state-approved CNA training program within 45 days of hireMust pass the CNA Competency Examination and be listed on the Healthcare Worker Registry within 120 days of date of hireBe at least 16 years of age, of temperate habits and good moral character, honest, reliable, and trustworthyDemonstrates interest and / or knowledge in caring for the ill, disabled, and elderlyCertified Nursing Assistant In-Training (CNAT) Education and Experience :
Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.DMust possess current CPR certificate or become certified within 90 days of employmentPhysical Requirements :
Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, ability to distinguish smells and temperatures, all with or without the aid of mechanical devices is required.Limited potential for exposure to environmental hazards. Understanding and adherence to company safety standards and protocols required.Must be able to push, pull move and / or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move and / or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.Meet all health requirements as needed.Villa Healthcare Benefits :
