Responsibilities Work in a hospital Operating Room within a Level 1 Trauma Center Day shift schedule of 5x8s, 6 : 30 AM to 3 : 00 PM, with no block scheduling Required to work every other weekend, two weekends per month One 12-hour on-call shift per month on a weekend, either 7 AM-7 PM or 7 PM-7 AM, with no weekday call Mandatory float to other units or facilities within 50 miles may be required Patient cases include Ortho, Ortho Trauma, Vascular, Urology, and General Surgery Preferred cases include Neurosurgery, Open Heart / Thoracic, Ophthalmology, ENT, Bariatric, and Gynecology Uses Cerner for charting; experience preferred Expected to provide direct perioperative nursing care to surgical patients in a fast-paced trauma environment Navy blue scrubs are provided Parking is available for a fee with shuttle transportation to the facility No block scheduling or special schedule requests allowed Time off requests are limited to 5 days total, with a maximum of 2 consecutive days; no RTO allowed on weekends, holidays, or immediately before / after holidays Strict compliance deadlines and documentation requirements prior to orientation Team-based support structure in place when floating outside of primary competency area Requirements Active IL RN license in hand at time of application Current BLS certification required Minimum of 2 years recent acute OR experience, including Level 1 Trauma Center exposure Strong scrub and circulate skills required Experience in Ortho, Ortho Trauma, Vascular, Urology, and General Surgery required Must provide proof of COVID vaccination prior to start date Must reside within a 75-mile radius of the facility to be considered local Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-626010.
