This position is located in the Office of the Undersecretary - Procurement / Contracts.

The primary responsibilities are managing the department wide Property Control and Fleet Management Program this position will also serve as a backup and support resource for additional critical procurement functions including Procurement RFP and Contract management Procurement Card Oversite and Risk Assessment FEMA and Grant Management.

Working with our team means more than just tracking vehicles and assets; its about problem-solving compliance and impact. Property control and fleet management here is fast-paced and hands-on : one day you may be analyzing GPS data to resolve discrepancies the next youre streamlining maintenance records or coordinating statewide reporting. Youll learn how to balance strict compliance rules with practical real-world solutions that keep operations moving.

This position manages assets that support essential public safety and correctional operations. The work you do has a direct impact on peoples lives and on taxpayer trust. By keeping fleet and property records accurate ensuring contracts and grants meet compliance standards and stepping in when cross-functional support is needed youll help maintain the integrity of programs that touch every corner of the agency.

Youll also gain exposure to high-level decision-making learn how to identify and correct systemic issues and collaborate across multiple units. An ideal candidate should possess the following competencies :

Minimum Qualifications

Three years of experience in procurement contracts or grants management financial management accounting or auditing; OR

Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR

A bachelors degree.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION :

Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.
