Civil Engineer

What You Will Do :

GFT is seeking a Civil Engineer to support a variety of projects in the West Region. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our Berkeley office.

What you'll be challenged to do :

This position will include civil engineering design for a variety of projects, including site development, utilities, rail, storm water management and road / trail design projects. The candidate will be responsible for executing work. The successful candidate will have a diverse project background with extensive experience in multidiscipline projects. This position has a hybrid work environment.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following :

• Technical Lead - Preparation of conceptual design and construction documents using Microstation / Geopak / OpenRoads and AutoCAD / Civil 3D, and preparation of investigative design reports and studies.
• Hands-on role in the production of deliverables.
• Project coordination with in-house engineering, architects, environmental / planning and outside consultants.
• Reviews project design for general compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
• Meets quality control and quality assurance guidelines.
• Delegates to junior staff.
• Trains / Mentors junior staff.

Compensation :

The Salary range for this position is $130,000-$170,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
