The Accounting Assistant provides accounting support to the Business Manager, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, and account and bank reconciliation for the marina and the on-site condominium association. This position is for 24 hours per week with a flexible schedule available and located at Safe Harbor Belle Maer on beautiful Lake St. Clair. This role may also be referred to as Accounting Specialist.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the accounting department in daily, monthly, and annual activities including generating financial reports, and assisting with audits and resolving discrepancies.Maintain accurate and complete records, including ledgers, journals, invoices, receipts, and information related to revenue and expenses.Use documents to verify, record and process transactions. Speak with vendors and suppliers to ensure charges are accurate and payments are received in a timely manner.General ledger account analysis.Review timesheets for completion and accuracy.Coordinate with title companies on potential condominium sales.Routine administrative tasks.Communicate with customers to discuss account statuses, charges, or discrepancies.Special projects as needed.Other duties as assigned by Manager.

Technical and Physical Requirements
