Training & Development Specialist
Role :
The Training & Development Specialist will help to improve overall employee effectiveness and performance through the application of individual and group training techniques and programs consistent with the Credit Unions organizational priorities. Participates in the development of in-house training programs while conducting classroom and assisting with on-the-job training. To work with the Training Manager in creating and updating the current training materials. To assist with the testing process of new programing and maintain the e-learning platform for the credit union.

Knowledge and Skills :
Experience One year to three years of similar or related experience. Previous experience in training teaching or supervising others is desired. Previous knowledge of the industry certifications and / or experience encouraged.
Education A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills Courtesy tact confidentiality and diplomacy are essentials elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others for purposes of giving or obtaining information building relationships or soliciting cooperation. Enthusiasm and professionalism a must.
Other Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong presentation skills. Ability to research and create affective training material. Ability to assist with the design and implementation of training material. Proficiency with the creation of office related program software.
Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times. Must be able to stand for the duration of an eight-hour workday.
