Surgical Tech

description :

Assists the surgical team in the preparation of surgical procedures in the operating room. Prepares surgical cases by creating and maintaining a sterile field retracting and passing instruments supplies and medications to surgeons during cases. Performs a variety of technical skills including the maintenance of department includes all functions related to operating room services including intraoperative patient care. It also may include perfusion services inpatient and / or outpatient services and other operating room support functions. It does not include PACU anesthesia functions pre op holding and / or central sterile functions. If your department is operating as a combined department with all surgery services combined please notify FP&A and we can map it to Surgical Services Combined Without Anesthesia to provide you with an appropriate benchmark.

Variable Shift 40 hours per week 4x10 / CallIn a 6 week period. 4 week nights and one 48hr and Work Experience : High School Education / GED or equivalent : RequiredAssociates / Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education / related experience : PreferredScrub technician experience : PreferredOperating room experience and / or training course : PreferredLicenses / Certifications : Surgery Technician certification : PreferredCardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification : RequiredCertified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification : Preferred
