Location : SMH

Schedule : Evenings + Weekends, On-Call, Callbacks, Holidays (per unit needs)

🚨 Must be able to report within 30 minutes for all on-call shifts

We're seeking a skilled General X-Ray Technologist who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care while producing high-quality diagnostic images that support lifesaving decisions.

🩻 What You'll Do

  • Verify patient identity and review provider orders prior to imaging.
  • Perform radiographic exams of bones, organs, and tissues using approved x-ray protocols.
  • Explain procedures clearly to patients and provide compassionate support.
  • Safely position and assist patients, including those with limited mobility.
  • Operate radiologic equipment responsibly to ensure minimal radiation exposure.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images for Radiologist interpretation.
  • Monitor equipment functionality and promptly report issues to management.
  • Use electronic systems to verify patient details and document exams.
  • Follow all dual-patient identifier, PACS, and image labeling procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely image transmission to PACS.
  • Observe patient status and adjust care based on age-specific needs.
  • 🎓 Requirements

  • Completion of an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT Certification (current).
  • NYS License (or eligibility prior to start).
  • Minimum 2 years of X-Ray Technologist experience.
  • Level I trauma center experience preferred.
  • Recent c-arm / o-arm experience within the last 8 months.
  • BLS (American Heart Association only).
  • Ability to lift / move patients and stand for long periods.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered mindset.
  • Team player with a commitment to high-quality care.
  • Ability to respond to on-call shifts within 30 minutes.

  • Active Technician License (any acceptable tech license in NY).
  • Demonstrated dependability and teamwork.
  • High attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.
