SUMMARY

Family Service League is seeking a full-time  Social Worker for the Regional Engagement and Addiction Program (REAP) in Mastic, NY. The Social Worker will provide support, intervention & case management to individuals, families and groups directly impacted by substance and / or alcohol use. The Social Worker will work within a multidisciplinary team to assist those struggling with substance use and other co-occurring disorders via street outreach and referrals from internal and external sources.

RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

Masters degree in social work or mental health counseling required.

LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, or limited permit required.

At least six months of experience with substance use disorders required. Experience with co-occurring disorders preferred.

Experience with conducting community outreach preferred.

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office required; Electronic Health Records preferred.

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, problem solving and verbal and written communication skills required.

Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and the ability to work closely with referral sources required.

Valid and clean NYS Drivers License required.

Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires sitting and standing for long periods of time.

Compensation details : 60000-66000 Yearly Salary
