Associate Attorney

Overview

Growing boutique law firm looking for associate with 0-4 years of experience in family law. Firm is a teaching firm, and will allow associate to grow into the role under direct supervision and guidance. Competitive salary and benefits commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in court in family law cases (including divorce, child custody, and support) and Child in Need of Assistance (CINA) cases.
• Draft and review discovery requests and productions of discovery; compile and analyze discovery materials.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions and agreements.
• Conduct legal research and memoranda and stay updated on changes in relevant areas of law.
• Attend court hearings and trials and present cases effectively.
• Provide legal advice and support to clients throughout the process.
• Negotiate settlement agreements.
• Collaborate with paralegals and other legal staff to ensure efficient case management.
• Comply with all legal standards and regulations.
• Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.
