Job descriptionAssist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and recreational activities. Implement individualized support plans that focus on social skills, communication, and behavioral development. Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to foster connection and engagement. Monitor and document client progress, making necessary adjustments to support plans. Collaborate with families and team members to ensure a holistic approach to care. Ensure a safe and supportive environment during evening and overnight hours. Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred but not required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A patient, compassionate, and adaptable demeanor. High school diploma with qualifying experience Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Must be able to pass a background check / Drug Screen Comprehensive training and opportunities for professional development. A supportive team environment focused on collaboration and growth. Direct Support Professional

If so, then we encourage you to apply for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) position with the Fort Monmouth Day Program!
Our DSPs provide support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a variety of settings in the community and our facility.
We are looking for individuals who are patient, understanding, and have a passion for helping others. Our primary focus is to engage all program participants and help them develop skills for everyday living.
Shifts Available : 9am to 3pm
Location : Oceanport
