Primary Purpose : To analyze low to mid-level commercial auto bodily injury claims to determine : liability; injuries; and potential corporate exposure on a risk transfer block of business. Ensure handling of claims within company standards and industry best practices.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities :

Manages low to mid-level commercial auto bodily injury claims, that are primarily attorney represented.

Gathering information to determine liability exposure; assign reserve values to claims, making claims payments as necessary, and settling claims up to designated authority level.

Assesses liability and potential corporate exposure to client on risk transfer bodily injury claims.

Resolves claims within given authority.

Processes assigned claims; manages action plan pursuant to the claim or client contract.

Manage claims and negotiates settlements.

Communicates claim action with client and potentially defense counsel if engaged.

Ensures claim files are properly documented, and claims coding is correct.

Maintains professional client and carrier relationships.

Additional Functions and Responsibilities :

Performs other duties as assigned.

Supports the organization's quality program(s).

Travels as required.

Qualifications :

Education & Licensing :

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.

Experience :

Two (2) years of commercial auto bodily injury claims experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
