Description

Position Overview

The Director of Research and Innovation is the chief administrative officer of the Research and Innovation Department. The Director leads faculty and staff in advancing the library’s research, scholarship, teaching, and service missions. Responsibilities include recruitment, program assessment, strategic planning, and achieving departmental goals.

This is a 12-month administrative position with a tenure-track faculty appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Full Professor.

The Director reports to the Dean of Library Services and is a member of the dean’s senior leadership team. The role involves providing leadership to increase sponsored research and overseeing bibliographic, metadata, discovery services, library systems, digital scholarship, preservation, open scholarship, research data services, and grant administration. The Director also fosters scholarly activities among faculty and represents the library’s interests within the university.
