Rehab Nursing Assistant PRN

Neuro Rehab Coach

SSM Health Neuro Transitional Center, a joint venture between Select Medical and SSM Health, is seeking a Neuro Rehab Coach. This position is located in O'Fallon, MO, and offers PRN day or night shifts with a schedule of 7-7, requiring a minimum of four shifts per month, with two of those shifts being on weekends. The compensation is $21 per PRN rate, with a $1.50 night shift differential and a $0.75 weekend differential.

Responsibilities :

This position functions under the direction of rehabilitation therapists and nurses to help individuals with a brain injury or spinal cord injury regain their independence and return home. In this role, you will be part of the therapy and nursing team and play a key role in helping patients re-learn to walk, talk, dress, cook, and manage their own medical needs. An ideal candidate has a passion for serving and helping others, previous experience in the healthcare field as a technician or direct care provider, or is in school pursuing a degree in a related field.

On a daily basis :

• Help patients with day to day living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, cooking, washing clothes, making their bed, loading the dishwasher, cleaning their suite, etc.
• Drive patients into the community for medical appointments, community activities
• Assist the rehabilitation therapists with patient activities
• Assist patients with nurse delegated tasks after completing the training we provide to ensure your competency. These tasks may include taking vital signs, and peg tube feedings
• Additional tasks as needed
