Roof Repairer

The Roof Repairer covers the roofs of structures with shingles, slate, asphalt or other related materials. The incumbent will also plan and estimate the tasking and material selection from blueprints and drawings, layout and job phasing.

Essential Duties & Job Functions :

• Performs the roofing duties necessary to maintain industrial building roofs and new installations of various types and systems.
• Operates equipment associated with the above processes with tar kettles, roof sweepers, cutting machines, torch equipment, standard measuring and testing equipment, power tools and associated roofer's hand tools.
• Plans and estimates tasking, material selection from blueprints and drawings, lay out and job phasing.
• Performs other related duties as assigned. May perform work in other classifications when incidental work is necessary to the accomplishment of the work assignment. Significant work in another job classification may be required if accompanied by any wage adjustments applicable.
