JOB TITLE : Dispatcher / Telecommunicator
Marshall County (KY) E911 Dispatchers play a crucial role in emergency response and public safety by receiving and transmitting messages, handling emergency calls, and dispatching the appropriate personnel to incidents. The center answers more than 65,000 calls a year and dispatches emergency services for more than 26 agencies, including police, fire, EMS, and rescue.
HIGH PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO KENTUCKY DOCJT ACADEMY GRADUATES.
Current pay scale for FULL TIME positions :
- Starting pay while training is $18.00 / hr (Kentucky DOCJT Academy Grads bypass this to where they fit below).
- Upon graduation from Kentucky DOCJT Academy : $20.00 / hr.
- Two Yrs experience from Kentucky DOCJT Academy : $22 / hr.
- Three Yrs Experience from Kentucky DOCJT Academy : $23 / hr.
- Five Yrs Experience from Kentucky DOCJT Academy : $24 / hr.
- Ten Yrs Experience from Kentucky DOCJT Academy : $25 / hr.
- Adjustments may be made for those with service gaps.

Pre-employment drug and basic physical screenings will be required initially, with random drug screens required throughout employment.Stringent background checks are required for this position.Generous medical and other benefits, including paid time off.Currently, three 12-hr shifts plus a 4- or 6-hr shift per week, not including overtime opportunities.Must be able to reliably commute to our E911 Dispatch Center at 23 Homer Lucas Ln, Benton, KY 42025.Contacts :
